When the device is in use, the water is heated by an electric heater and converted into steam, which escapes through an opening on the top of the housing. This operating principle guarantees humidification that is completely free of germs, bacteria, and minerals. This steam humidifier is suitable for rooms up to 45 sq m/110 m³.
Parrots and parakeets should be kept at 55 to 65 % humidity.

The device is easy to fill with water. Descaling the device regularly with a standard household descaler, depending on the water hardness, is recommended. We recommend using the device with distilled or soft water.
The built-in hygrostat automatically maintains the humidity level as long as there is sufficient water in the steam humidifier. External hygrostats (available in our shop: https://www.avifood.com/product/hygrostat-fuer-die-steckdose) can be used for precise humidity control.
